[Secretariat of the Important Technical Committee of the International Organization of Legal Metrology landed in China] On October 30, the 61st International Committee of Legal Metrology (CIML) Conference was held in Delhi, India, from October 26 to 28. More than 100 representatives from nearly 60 member states attended the meeting. Bai Qingyuan, deputy director of the State Administration for Market Regulation and member of the CIML Chairman’s Council, led a delegation to attend the meeting. The Chinese delegation repeatedly communicated with the leaders and key members of the International Commission on Legal Metrology to build consensus and promote the resolution passed by the conference. China will serve as the secretariat of the Automatic Weighing Instruments Sub-Technical Committee of the Technical Committee on Quality and Density (TC9/SC2). This is the fourth secretariat of the 50 sub-technical committees of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) undertaken by China. This technical committee is responsible for formulating international metrological rules for belt scales, dynamic truck scales, automatic sub-inspection scales and other weighing equipment. Its rules are the core basis for unifying global legal metrology requirements, eliminating technical barriers to trade, and ensuring fairness in bulk commodity transactions.
