This is the third version of the grouping plan and technical specifications after the 1.0 grouping in 2019 and the 2.0 grouping in 2024. The national pilot of disease group (DRG) payment will be launched in 2019, the national pilot of disease point (DIP) payment will be launched in 2020, and the three-year action plan for the reform of medical insurance payment methods will be launched in 2021. On the basis of the pilot, the reform will be accelerated to expand coverage and improve quality. After three years of pilots and three years of special actions, payment based on disease type has basically achieved "full coverage" of eligible coordinated areas and medical institutions.
