[The Cyberspace Administration of China has carried out in-depth the second phase of the special action of “Cleaning up and rectifying AI application chaos”] September 2nd, recently, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China organized the second phase of the special action of “Cleaning and rectifying AI application chaos”, focusing on the use of AI to produce and publish false information, spread violent and vulgar content, and fake and imitate others. In order to deal with prominent issues such as human rights violations and infringement of the rights of minors, we have deployed local cybersecurity and informatization departments to carry out key rectification tasks, urge website platforms to focus on cleaning up all kinds of illegal and harmful information generated by AI, investigate and deal with illegal accounts and mobile applications in accordance with the law, effectively curb the chaos of AI-generated synthetic information content, and promote the healthy and orderly development of AI application services. So far, more than 5.61 million pieces of illegal information have been cleared, more than 49,000 accounts have been investigated and dealt with, and more than 2,400 illegal websites and applications have been dealt with.
