[Iran’s Foreign Minister Reveals “Two-Day Plan” to Restart Iran-U.S. Negotiations Only if the U.S. Complys with the Agreement] On November 2, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said in an interview with the media that the Iranian delegation’s visit to Qatar is a continuation of Iran’s continuous communication with mediators such as Qatar and Pakistan. Currently, the plan on the table is basically the same as the "Seven-Day Plan" previously proposed by Iran. The plan sets out conditions for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, and if Iran's conditions are met, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened on the sixth day and Iran-US negotiations will resume on the seventh day. Mediators such as Qatar and Pakistan have also held many consultations and discussions on this issue, and have put forward suggestions that are more feasible and operable than Iran's "Seven-Day Plan." Araghchi said one of Qatar's proposals was to "shorten the seven-day period to five days or even less." This proposal was also discussed with Qatar during the current visit of the Iranian delegation. Currently, Iran has agreed to a "two-day plan", that is, on the first day, the United States will take a series of (compliance) measures. The next day, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened and traffic in the Strait will return to its previous status. (CCTV News)
