[Exclusive | Many domestic automobile companies "go to Beijing" to negotiate "hybrid vehicle export quotas" with relevant departments] On November 2, reporters learned from multiple people familiar with the matter that in response to the recent understanding between China and the EU on hybrid vehicle trade, many domestic automobile companies recently went to Beijing to negotiate with relevant departments. "The total amount (of the quota plan) is limited, and the export quota that can be allocated to each company is not very large. Currently, each (car company) is working hard to obtain it." A person familiar with the matter said. From October 8th to 9th, the second regular meeting of the China-EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism was held in Beijing. After intensive consultations, China and the EU reached an understanding on hybrid vehicle trade in a manner consistent with WTO rules. The Ministry of Commerce stated on October 12 that regarding hybrid vehicles, the two sides have reached an upward arrangement based on 2025 (302,000 vehicles) to ensure the export space and stable growth of Chinese companies and take into account the reasonable concerns of both industries based on reality.
