[Ministry of Natural Resources: Encourage comprehensive exploration and mining of coalbed methane] On November 2, the Ministry of Natural Resources issued a notice on matters related to coalbed methane resource management, which proposed to encourage comprehensive exploration and mining of coalbed methane. For coal, petroleum, and hydrocarbon natural gas (coalbed methane, shale gas, natural gas hydrates) (referred to as "oil and gas minerals"), if the scope of mining rights does not overlap, the owners of coal and oil and gas mineral rights can comprehensively explore and exploit coalbed methane resources. Comprehensive exploration and mining of coalbed methane resources shall apply to the unified oil and gas mineral exploration and mining policy.
