[Domestic first set of intelligent welding equipment for ultra-deep shafts has been put into use, with efficiency increased by more than 65%] On November 3, we learned from China Three Gorges Corporation that China’s first set of intelligent welding equipment for pressure steel pipes dedicated to ultra-deep shafts was officially put into use at the Songyang Pumped Storage Power Station in Zhejiang. The equipment was independently developed for the extreme working conditions of narrow deep wells in deep underground engineering, filling the shortcomings of automatic welding of high-strength steel pipes in ultra-deep shafts, and taking another key step towards the independence of China’s ultra-deep underground engineering equipment. The complete set of intelligent welding equipment put into use this time is equipped with an outer circumferential seam welding robot and an inner circumferential seam automatic horizontal welding machine. It is equipped with 5G control, laser weld seam tracking and welding expert database, which can automatically identify the welding seam position and match the welding parameters. With this set of equipment, pressure steel pipe installation can realize integrated operations of hoisting, welding, flaw detection, and anti-corrosion. The welding speed can reach 30 to 50 centimeters per minute. The welding efficiency is increased by more than 65% compared with traditional manual welding, and the one-time pass rate of welds reaches 99%.
