[Multiple flights in Europe received bomb threats in the past two days and were forced to reroute] November 3rd, in the past two days, multiple flights in Europe received bomb threats, forcing the plane carrying hundreds of passengers to reroute and undergo searches upon arrival. Relevant airlines said that since Monday, two Wizz Air flights, one Polish Airlines flight and one SAS flight have received threats. At least two Ryanair flights were also reportedly affected. The origin and motivation of these threats are currently unclear, but the majority of known incidents have targeted flights to destinations in Eastern Europe. Poland has been the target of various cyberattacks and hybrid attacks that Polish officials say are linked to Russia. A Wizz Air spokesman said a flight from Bergamo, Italy, to Sofia, Bulgaria, received threats on Tuesday and was searched upon arrival. On Monday, a flight from London Luton Airport to Sofia was diverted to Budapest for the same reason. A spokesman for SAS said a flight between Copenhagen and Warsaw had also received threats and police were dealing with the matter.
