[Iranian Speaker Comments on U.S. Midterm Elections: The American People Say “No” to War] November 4th, Iran’s Islamic Parliament Speaker Qalibaf said on the 4th that the results of the U.S. midterm elections showed that “the American people said ‘no’ to war.” Qalibaf is Iran's chief negotiator with the United States. He posted on social media: "Should we follow our conscience or bear the burden of life? The American people say 'no' to war, and we support this position." Qalibaf also said that if the U.S. government abandons public opinion, it will eventually understand that "our 'no' will bring a nightmare (to the United States)."
