[The ultra-supercritical thermal power project with the highest altitude in China completed trial operation and was officially put into operation today] November 5. Today, Unit 1 of Qinghai Huadian Golmud Phase I Thermal Power Project, the highest ultra-supercritical thermal power project in China, successfully completed a 168-hour trial operation and was officially put into commercial operation. The project is located in Golmud City, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, with an average altitude of about 2,850 meters. It will build two 660MW ultra-supercritical indirect air-cooled extraction condensing thermal power units. In view of the low oxygen and low pressure in the Gobi plateau, which makes it difficult to fully burn coal, coupled with the high alkali content of coal and the easy coking and ash accumulation of units, the project applies start-up oxygenation and ultra-low load stable combustion technology to create a complete set of boiler solutions that are suitable for high altitudes, fully burn high-alkali coal, and can flexibly adjust peaks, overcome technical problems in high-altitude thermal power construction, and fill gaps in the industry.
