[The Ministry of Commerce responds to the EU’s superposition of relevant taxes and fees on low-value imported goods] November 5th, the European Union has levied a 2-euro handling fee on low-value imported goods since November 1, after imposing a 3-euro tariff in July. Huang Ling, spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, said at a regular press conference held on the 5th that China is highly concerned about the new European regulations. As a new format and model of international trade, cross-border e-commerce provides diversified choices for global enterprises and consumers. It is hoped that the European side will carefully evaluate the impact of relevant policies and create favorable conditions for China-EU cooperation in e-commerce and other fields.
