[The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television reiterates: Support live-action micro-shorts and regulate AI micro-shorts] On November 5, the relevant person in charge of the State Administration of Radio and Television reiterated in Beijing on the 5th that regarding the relationship between live-action micro-shorts and AI micro-shorts, the State Administration’s attitude is very clear: support live-action dramas and regulate AI dramas. At the micro-short drama forum of the 2026 China Radio and Television Premium Creation Conference held that day, the person in charge said that for micro-short dramas, AI brings not only cost reduction and efficiency increase in the creation process, but also systemic changes in production methods, industrial forms, and development logic. From script creation to filming and production, from communication and distribution to overseas operations, the entire chain is being reshaped. New creative models and new industrial ecology are being nurtured. The entire industry must be good at grasping and applying it, and let AI serve as a helper for high-quality creation and an engine for innovative development. (Xinhua News Agency)
