Ge Ju, deputy director of the Development Planning Department of the National Energy Administration, said that the National Energy Administration will further coordinate domestic supply and diversified imports to strengthen oil and gas security. On the one hand, we must do a good job in building domestic supply capacity. We will thoroughly implement the ten-year action plan for oil and gas exploration and development, increase investment and workload, and consolidate the resource base. Focusing on key oil and gas basins such as the Ordos, Bohai Bay, Sichuan and Chongqing, Tarim, and Songliao, we will accelerate the construction of a number of national-level oil and gas strategic support bases, insist on increasing the amount of deep sea, deep ground, unconventional and old oil and gas fields, promote a steady increase in crude oil production, and rapid growth in natural gas production, so that domestic supply will be more confident. At the same time, we should give better play to the role of "regulator" and "ballast stone" of oil and gas reserves, build a major country's oil reserve system, adhere to "large warehouses, large stations, and intensive layout", plan a number of major natural gas reserve projects, and strive to improve natural gas emergency peak shaving and peak supply capabilities. On the other hand, we should ensure diversified imports. Currently, we have carried out oil and gas trade cooperation with nearly 50 countries around the world. Our import sources cover the world's major oil and gas exporting countries. International oil and gas cooperation is stable and reliable. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, we will further expand the "circle of friends" for oil and gas cooperation, strengthen cooperation in major overseas oil and gas producing areas, and enhance the diversification of sources and channels. At the same time, we will consolidate and expand land strategic import channels, maintain the safety of maritime channels, and ensure that oil and gas can be purchased and transported.
