[Cyberspace Information Department strictly investigates and punishes the issue of using AI technology to counterfeit and imitate public figures] Recently, in response to the problems of using AI technology to counterfeit and imitate well-known public figures to falsely sell goods, attract fans and attract traffic, and mislead netizens, the Cyberspace Affairs Department urged website platforms to carry out in-depth centralized rectification, strictly investigate and deal with illegal information and accounts, and cleared more than 47,000 pieces of illegal information and dealt with 3,961 accounts. For website platforms with outstanding problems, the cyberspace department will investigate and deal with them in accordance with the law and procedures.
