[South Korea’s self-developed nuclear submarine construction project was exempted from feasibility investigation] On November 6, South Korea’s self-developed nuclear-powered submarine “Jang Baogao N Project” was exempted from project feasibility investigation. The South Korean government originally planned to launch the project in 2027 and strive to deploy it in the second half of the 2030s. With the project being exempted from project feasibility studies that usually take one or two years, the overall R&D and construction process is expected to speed up.
