[China's total energy investment may reach US$940 billion in 2026] On November 8, the China Enterprise Reform and Development Research Association recently released the "Global Energy Transformation Report (2026)". Data shows that China has built the world's largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system. Peng Huagang, president of the China Enterprise Reform and Development Research Association, said that in the first half of this year, the proportion of coal power generation in China dropped to 49.7%, lower than 50% for the first time. Coal power is transforming from the main power source to a backup power source and a system-regulated power source. China's total energy investment is expected to reach US$940 billion in 2026, ranking first in the world. China's renewable energy technology still occupies a dominant position in the world, providing 70% of wind power equipment and 80% of photovoltaic module equipment to the world, driving global wind power and photovoltaic power generation costs to drop by more than 60% and 80% respectively.
