[Protests broke out in France for the fourth consecutive weekend] On November 7, local time, demonstrations and rallies broke out in many places in France for the fourth consecutive weekend against the rising cost of living and shrinking public services. Although the number of demonstrations this round was lower than in previous weeks, some protesters still clashed with the police in Paris. Some people threw debris at the security personnel and set off homemade fireworks, and the police immediately used tear gas. Others set trash cans on fire and attacked police. After nightfall, some protesters marched all the way to Place de la Bastille in Paris. The French Interior Ministry stated that a total of 146,000 people participated in demonstrations across France, including 46,000 in Paris. But the figures given by the union are 250,000 nationwide and 75,000 in Paris. These numbers are lower than the scale of demonstrations in the previous three weekends, but on November 5, the French Federation of Trade Unions had just organized a large-scale strike protest.
