[German company wants to develop "infinite range" space missile] November 8th, a German technology company is developing a "global unlimited range" space-based weapon, which can theoretically hit any target in Russia. The weapon, known as the Orbital Precision Deep Strike (PODS) system, consists of a conventional warhead that will be launched from a satellite and loaded in a re-entry vehicle with a protective layer to avoid being burned by atmospheric friction during the fall. This innovative combat capability was developed by the German space cargo company Atmos. The company was originally established to help customers send cargo into space for biomedical research.
