[The total number of domestic securities firms is 104, of which 71 state-owned securities firms account for nearly 70%] On November 8, the reporter learned that the regulatory authorities summarized the current equity structure of the securities industry in the latest issue of "Transmission". As of August 2026, there are 71 Chinese-owned securities firms among the 104 securities firms, accounting for 68.3%, of which 23 are controlled by central enterprises and 48 are controlled by local governments; 16 foreign-owned securities firms, accounting for 15.4%; 11 private securities firms, accounting for 10.5%; and 6 mixed-ownership securities firms, accounting for 5.7%. This is the situation of the equity structure of domestic securities companies, with state-owned capital as the leading role and various types of capital participating in an orderly manner. It is worth noting that there is a clear gradient in the concentration of different types of securities firms. The average shareholdings of the largest shareholders of foreign capital and private institutions are relatively high, reaching 77.4% and 71.9% respectively. The former mostly adopt the parent company's wholly-owned or absolute holding model, while the latter's founding shareholders and industrial capital hold higher shares. State-owned enterprise holding institutions are in the middle, with an average of 63.9%, retaining state-owned control while retaining space for market-oriented operations; local state-owned and mixed ownership institutions are relatively low, at 40.4% and 28.9% respectively.
