[Lender details fraud charges for the first time, Radiant World allegedly used fake contracts and paid invoices for financing] On September 3, a lender alleged in a document submitted to the Singapore High Court that the iron ore trader Radiant World used paid Glencore invoices, supplemented by fake contracts, to raise US$31.7 million in financing. The disclosure comes from a filing last week by Singapore-based invoice financing platform Incomlend Pte. and is the first time a lender to Radiant World has detailed fraud allegations against the company. According to relevant court documents, Amit Sharma, a senior executive of Radiant World Group, contacted Incomlend in December 2025 to seek financing, intending to use invoices issued to Glencore International, the buyer of its goods, as collateral. Incomlend provided $31.7 million in financing to Radiant World in May 2026 based on two invoices with face values totaling more than $34 million, the filing said. Radiant World said at the time that Glencore had not yet made the payment. But when Incomlend requested payment from Glencore in August, it learned that the relevant invoices had already been settled and that the contract on which the invoices were based was not a real contract, court documents show.
