[Corporate U.S. dollar deposits of Korean banks hit a record high this month] September 6th, industry data released on Sunday showed that as the Korean won fell to a nearly two-year low against the U.S. dollar, corporate U.S. dollar deposits of major South Korean banks hit a record high this month. As of Thursday, the U.S. dollar deposit balance of South Korea's five largest local banks reached 76.98 billion U.S. dollars, the highest value since the establishment of this statistical caliber in May 2021. The five major banks are Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank and Nonghyup Bank.
