[International Geothermal Forum and the Seventh International Symposium on Geosciences Held] On September 6, the 2026 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum International Geothermal Forum and the Seventh International Symposium on Geosciences was held in Taiyuan. The forum focused on releasing two important results in the geothermal field. "Geothermal Terminology" was promoted for the first time in China. This standard is the first unified terminology standard in the global geothermal industry. It was compiled by the International Geothermal Standards Committee. It contains 207 terms and covers 8 major fields, marking the integration of China's geothermal industry with international standards. Yuncheng City released the results of geothermal development and utilization, focusing on practical results such as large-scale development and clean heating substitution, providing replicable and useful experience for the promotion and application of geothermal energy in resource-based areas.
