[A US cargo plane overshot the runway and killed 5 people] September 7th, at around 2 pm local time on September 6, a Boeing 767-300 cargo plane of the American Amazon Company taking off from San Juan, Puerto Rico, overran the runway when landing at Miami International Airport, triggering a large-scale emergency response and suspending operations at the airport. The accident has caused at least 5 deaths and 5 injuries. Video from the scene showed that the large cargo plane rushed out of the airport area, hit multiple vehicles, and burst into flames. The Miami-Dade County Fire Department dispatched about 60 rescue vehicles to the scene. Miami International Airport has temporarily closed all runways and taxiways, implemented ground operations, and suspended flights in and out. It's unclear why the plane overran the runway.
