[The Research Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, China Mobile and others took the lead in the preparation of the national standard "Technical Specifications for Credible Evaluation of Carbon Efficiency of Data Center Computing Power".] On September 7, the National Standardization Administration Committee officially issued the fourth batch of recommended national standards plans for 2026, and the "Technical Specifications for Credible Evaluation of Carbon Efficiency of Data Center Computing Power" was approved for project approval. This standard correlates data center computing power output with carbon emissions and is China's first approved national standard in the field of computing power carbon efficiency evaluation methods and credible technical specifications. The standard was drafted by the Research Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., China Quality Certification Center and others. Previously, China Mobile has carried out large-scale pilot projects in data centers in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Shaanxi and other places, covering a total of more than 20,000 servers, effectively verifying the feasibility of the computing power carbon efficiency indicator. In the future, China Mobile will continue to join hands with industry, academia and research to deepen the research on computing power carbon efficiency technology and the construction of standard systems, promote the implementation of standards, and assist the green and low-carbon transformation of China's data centers. At the same time, China Mobile will actively promote the layout of international standards in the field of computing power carbon efficiency and promote the formation of a green computing power evaluation method system with Chinese characteristics and international compatibility.
