The China Plastics Processing Industry Association issued a risk warning to the entire industry, calling on all parties in the industry chain to recognize the laws of the cycle, insist on rational investment, and jointly protect the foundation of industrial development. It also proposed the following initiative: priority should be given to optimizing existing production capacity, and more funds should be invested in the intelligent transformation of existing production lines, process improvement, and high-end product research and development. We should be cautious in launching general homogeneous production capacity, avoid blindly paving the way, competing for scale, and prevent investment from turning into ineffective sunk assets. Focus on ultra-thin separators, high-safety functional coated separators, new separators suitable for semi-solid/solid-state batteries, etc., to make up for the shortcomings of high-end products, and gain market share with product competitiveness, rather than relying on simple expansion of production and price wars to avoid falling into low-end involution.
