[GLP-1 drugs may have the potential to delay aging] September 8th, a GLP-1 drug commonly used for weight loss and treatment of type 2 diabetes may have the potential to delay aging. According to a report in the new issue of "Nature" magazine, researchers from the University of California, Berkeley and other institutions found through mouse experiments that after elderly female mice took the GLP-1 drug semaglutide, their lifespan was 12% longer than that of mice that did not take the drug. At the same time, many biological changes related to aging were slowed down.
