[Nomination of independent directors of insurance institutions moves towards normalization and consolidates the foundation of corporate governance] September 9th, Dunhuang Seed Industry, Sungrow, O.R.G., GEM... Since September, China Securities Small and Medium Investor Service Center Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Investment Service Center") has publicly nominated independent directors of a number of listed companies and solicited investor voting rights. The Investment Service Center's public nomination of independent directors is moving towards normalization and institutionalization, which will promote the better performance of duties by independent directors from the source and improve the governance level of listed companies. Analysts believe that the Investment Service Center's public nomination of independent directors not only promotes corporate governance from "formal compliance" to "substantial effectiveness", but also builds a collaborative internal and external supervision ecosystem by introducing public equity, private equity funds and other institutions to jointly exercise power. With the in-depth advancement of special actions on the governance of listed companies, the independent director system is expected to continue to release "governance dividends", providing a strong guarantee for further breaking down barriers to independent directors' performance of duties and consolidating the foundation for high-quality development of the capital market.
