[The U.S. military said it intercepted a floating gas station in the Eastern Pacific] On the 8th local time, the U.S. Southern Command announced that the Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere (JTF-WHEM) intercepted a floating gas station in the Eastern Pacific that day to support illegal maritime drug trafficking activities. Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was linked to the Ecuadorian drug trafficking terrorist organization Los Choneros. Those removed from the ship have been handed over to Ecuadorian authorities.
