[HSBC will cut more than 300 jobs in Germany as part of its restructuring plan] On September 9th, HSBC stated that it plans to cut 300 jobs at HSBC Transaction Services GmbH in Germany and 20 jobs at HSBC Service Company Germany GmbH by 2028. This stems from the organizational streamlining plan announced by HSBC in October 2024. Previously, the bank had sold its private banking business in Germany and reached an agreement to divest its custody and depository business as well as the International Investment Company (INKA). Currently, HSBC's customers in Germany will not be affected.
