[International Alliance to Combat Telecommunications Network Fraud Established] On September 10, the founding meeting of the International Alliance to Combat Telecommunications Network Fraud was held in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. Representatives from 46 founding countries, 34 observing countries, and four international organizations including the United Nations and Interpol gathered together to witness this important moment. All parties jointly issued the "Joint Statement on the Establishment of the International Alliance to Combat Telecommunications Network Fraud." The statement pointed out that all countries have jointly realized that telecommunications network fraud is becoming a public hazard in the world, and recognized that the establishment of an intergovernmental international organization based on international conventions that is more focused, more professional, more efficient and more actionable will be of great practical significance and positive role in jointly responding to and combating telecommunications network fraud and related crimes, and protecting the safety and legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations of various countries. Based on a common vision and consensus, all parties agreed to jointly initiate the establishment of an international alliance to combat telecommunications network fraud.
