[Omdia: U.S. PC market full-year shipments are expected to decline by 10.7%] September 10th, Omdia's latest research shows that in the second quarter of 2026, U.S. PC shipments (excluding tablets) increased by 1.0% year-on-year to 18.8 million units, after falling by 7.0% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026. The market resumed growth in this quarter, mainly due to retailers and channel partners stocking up in advance before price increases due to limited supply of memory and storage products, thereby driving some demand to be released ahead of schedule. The average channel shipment price of PCs in the United States exceeded US$1,000 for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 12.0%. However, this growth is expected to be unsustainable. Omdia predicts that the U.S. PC market shipments will decline by 10.7% for the full year and 18.4% in the second half of 2026.
