[China and Cape Verde signed an Economic Partnership Framework Agreement for Common Development] On September 10, according to the Ministry of Commerce, on September 9, International Trade Negotiator and Vice Minister Li Chenggang and Cape Verde’s Minister of Economy, Trade, Industry and Digital Transformation Antonio Baptista signed a Framework Agreement on an Economic Partnership for Common Development between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Cape Verde in Beijing. The "Framework Agreement" clarifies that the two parties will further deepen cooperation in the economic and trade fields, jointly enhance economic resilience and development momentum, focus on sustainable development and inclusive growth, and promote the transformation and upgrading of Cape Verde's agriculture, blue economy and manufacturing development. This is the 40th framework agreement signed between China and African countries. It is another practical action to help African countries share China's ultra-large market and vast development opportunities. It will provide long-term, stable and predictable institutional guarantee for deepening China-Vendorah trade and investment cooperation. The two sides jointly confirmed the substantial conclusion of early harvest arrangement negotiations for the Joint Development Economic Partnership Agreement, and exchanged views on bilateral economic and trade issues between China and Latvia.
