It is reported that Semeru volcano erupted three times in a row at 4:20, 5:53 and 6:28 local time. The height of the volcanic ash column was approximately 500 meters, 800 meters and 1,000 meters respectively. Semeru Volcano currently maintains alert level three. Relevant departments remind the public not to enter dangerous areas such as within 5 kilometers of the crater and nearby rivers, and to be wary of hot clouds, lava flows and lahars.
