[Deloitte: Increased Hong Kong's 2026 retail sales forecast to HK$412 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%] September 14th, Hong Kong's retail market performed stronger than expected in the first half of 2026, with sales of approximately HK$203 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. Benefiting from the strong growth momentum in the first half of the year, Deloitte China raised its full-year Hong Kong retail sales forecast for 2026 to HK$412 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, and expected growth to reach 7% in the second half of the year.
