[The United States is expected to lift carbon emission restrictions on power plants] September 14th: The United States is expected to lift regulations requiring coal- and gas-fired power plants to almost completely eliminate carbon emissions, overturning environmental protection policies introduced by former President Biden's administration in 2024. According to reports, US Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin is expected to announce this policy adjustment at the Group of Twenty (G20) energy ministers meeting in Houston on September 14.
