[Korean stock trading hours extended to 8 p.m.] September 14th, today (14th), the Korea Stock Exchange officially launched after-hours trading. The normal stock trading hours are still from 9 am to 3:30 pm. After the implementation of the new system, investors can continue to trade until 8 pm after the exchange closes normally. Regarding pre-market trading, as the securities industry has reported that IT system development and personnel operation burdens are heavy, the Korea Stock Exchange has postponed the pre-market market that was originally scheduled to be launched simultaneously today to the end of 2027. As for whether ETFs (exchange-traded open-end index funds) and (exchange-traded notes) ETNs that the market is concerned about will be included in after-hours trading, out of consideration for market fluctuations, the Korea Exchange stated that it will not include ETFs and ETNs in after-hours trading for the time being.
