[BHP Billiton Port Hedland workers will seek arbitration over salary agreement dispute] September 15th, BHP Billiton's Port Hedland port facility workers in Australia's BHP Billiton Ports United Union said on Tuesday that workers will seek arbitration due to the failure of both parties to agree on the terms of a new salary agreement. It is reported that the BHP Billiton Port Union represents approximately 450 operators and maintenance workers at the Port Hedland port facility. The union will apply for an "irreconcilable bargaining" finding, which would allow regulator the Fair Work Commission to set the terms of the agreement.
