[AI can predict and control fusion plasma within 20 milliseconds] On September 16, researchers from the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy and Princeton University developed an artificial intelligence (AI) software framework that can predict and control fusion plasma in about 20 milliseconds, quickly adjusting its state, while being subject to strict hardware security restrictions. Relevant results were published in the new issue of "Nuclear Fusion" magazine.
