[Zhan Baowei, former member of the Economic Committee of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, was expelled from the party] September 16th, according to the Shandong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision: With the approval of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, the Shandong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervisory Committee launched a case review and investigation into Zhan Baowei, former member of the Economic Committee of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, for serious violations of discipline and law. After investigation, Zhan Baowei lost his ideals and beliefs, abandoned his original mission, was disloyal and dishonest to the party, and resisted organizational review; ignored the spirit of the eight central regulations, accepted gifts and consumer cards in violation of regulations, and engaged in formalism and bureaucracy at work; violated organizational principles and sought personnel benefits for others in violation of regulations; and the bottom line of integrity was violated. He illegally owns shares of unlisted companies and uses his power to seek benefits for his relatives; he abuses power and makes decisions blindly, causing particularly heavy losses to national interests; he is greedy and engages in power-for-money transactions, taking advantage of his position to benefit others in business operations, construction planning and adjustment, and illegally receiving huge amounts of property. Zhan Baowei seriously violated the party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline and work discipline, which constituted a serious job violation and was suspected of abuse of power and bribery crimes by state-owned company personnel. He did not restrain himself or stop after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. This is serious in nature and has a bad impact, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with the "Disciplinary Punishment Regulations of the Communist Party of China", the Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China, the Government Punishment Law for Public Employees and other relevant provisions, after study by the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to expel Zhan Baowei from the party; cancel his benefits in accordance with regulations; confiscate his illegal gains; transfer his suspected crimes to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, and transfer the property involved.
