[Hainan issues 5 billion yuan of offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong] On September 16, Hainan Province issued offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Hainan Provincial Government has issued offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong. It is also the first time that the Hainan Free Trade Port has issued offshore RMB bonds after the island-wide customs sealing operation. This issuance is mainly aimed at Asian and European investors, attracting a total of 59 institutional investors from 8 countries and regions to actively participate. It is understood that Hainan Province issued 5 billion yuan of offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong this time, including 2.5 billion yuan for a 3-year term, 1.5 billion yuan for a 5-year term, and 1 billion yuan for a 10-year term. The pricing interest rates are 1.41%, 1.51%, and 1.81% respectively. The peak order size reached 43.7 billion yuan, exceeding previous levels and nearly 9 times the issuance size. The funds raised are mainly invested in marine ecological protection, medical and health infrastructure construction, and the construction of key projects in the Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone.
