[120 million-year-old carnivorous dinosaur footprint fossils found in Thailand] On October 21, the Department of Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand confirmed that six carnivorous theropod dinosaur footprint fossils dating back about 120 million years were discovered in Udon Thani Province in northeastern Thailand, which is the first time that they have been discovered locally. The footprints are located on the Early Cretaceous sandstone layer and are obviously three-toed shaped. Each one is about 29 cm long and 26 cm wide. Based on the size of the footprints, geologists speculate that the dinosaur that left the footprints has a hip height of about 1.42 meters and a body length of about 6.3 meters. Its body shape is relatively close to the "Siamese Tyrannosaurus" that was discovered in Thailand, but the specific species cannot be confirmed at present. (CCTV News)
