[The core grouping of version 3.0 of payment by disease has increased to 492 groups, highlighting the "one old and small" and innovative support] On September 2, Yan Bing, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau and leader of the DRG technical guidance group, introduced at a press conference on the grouping plan of version 3.0 of payment by disease held today that version 3.0 of payment by disease generally presents the characteristics of "clearer guidance, more refined grouping, and standards that are more in line with reality." Version 3.0 has five main changes compared to version 2.0: First, the grouping is more refined, with the core grouping increasing from 409 to 492, subdivisions increasing from 634 to 825, and rehabilitation, pain, therapeutic operations and difficult combined operations being further subdivided; secondly, paying more attention to "one old and one young", adding new subdivisions for cases under 6 years old and over 70 years old, and painless delivery. It is set to three independent payment groups; the third is to more clearly support medical innovation and set up separate groups for surgical robot-assisted surgeries; the fourth is to further optimize the grouping logic to be more in line with clinical reality; the fifth is to streamline the list of comorbidities and complications, with nearly 3,000 fewer severe comorbidities and complications compared with version 2.0, and about 1,500 fewer general comorbidities and complications.
