["Electric Vehicle Power Battery In-service Testing and Testing Methods" national standard released, covering application scenarios such as battery hazard inspection, second-hand car transactions and functional testing] On October 21, the State Administration for Market Regulation recently released the national standard "Electric Vehicle Power Battery In-Service Testing and Testing Methods", which will be officially implemented on March 1, 2027. This standard is applicable to the testing of power batteries of electric vehicles in service, covering application scenarios such as battery hazard inspection, second-hand car trading and functional testing. The standard stipulates general test conditions for power batteries in service, clarifies test items such as appearance, air tightness, insulation, and thermal management systems, and provides an estimation method for the consistency of available capacity retention, voltage, and internal resistance. The release of this standard solves the problem of the lack of unified test methods for in-service testing of new energy vehicle power batteries, improves the transparency of battery technology status and transaction information, protects consumer rights, promotes the standardized operation of the new energy vehicle aftermarket, and empowers the high-quality and sustainable development of the new energy vehicle industry through standardized testing and testing.
