[The Chinese delegation completed the task of participating in the meeting of Study Group 6 of the Radiocommunication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union] October 8th, according to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from September 21 to October 2, 2026, the meeting of Study Group 6 (SG6) of the Radiocommunication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union and its subordinate working groups WP6A, WP6B and WP6C was held in Geneva, Switzerland. This meeting is the sixth meeting of the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference research cycle SG6 and its working groups. SG6 and its working groups mainly study radio and television related matters, including audio-visual, multimedia and data services provided to the public. This meeting focused on in-depth discussions on technical content such as multimedia mobile broadcasting, broadcast core network, content source tracing, privacy protection mechanisms, six-degree-of-freedom spatial audio, ultra-high definition and high dynamic range (HDR) television, and reviewed and approved the formulation and revision of multiple proposals and reports. Three manuscripts on mobile broadcasting and media processing submitted by China were adopted by the conference, and new progress was made in the formulation and revision of three reports on radio and television testing and audio-visual applications that China participated in. In addition, the meeting also introduced two information manuscripts submitted by China on the evaluation of emergency broadcast technology and artificial intelligence-generated videos. 24 representatives from 8 units including relevant departments of the State Council, research institutions, universities, and enterprises participated in the meeting through a combination of online and offline methods.
