This standard regulates the design and production process of electric bicycle charging piles, filling the gap in the previous mandatory standards for electric bicycle charging piles. The standard applies to AC/DC charging piles that charge compliant electric bicycles and their batteries. It standardizes the safety technical indicators of electric bicycle charging piles from three dimensions: general requirements, safety protection functions, and special requirements for DC charging piles, and clarifies the corresponding test methods. Among them, in terms of general requirements, the standard regulates product labeling and instructions, fire and flame retardant performance, contact temperature rise limit, surge immunity, leakage protection, etc., and clarifies strict technical indicators;
In terms of safety protection functions, it is required that products will not be dangerous in case of misuse and failure, and charging piles must have seven protection functions including short-circuit protection, over-current protection, and input over-voltage protection, and be able to automatically cut off the output power when abnormal conditions occur. In terms of DC charging piles, products are required to use the same interface as GB 42296-2022 "Safety Technical Requirements for Chargers for Electric Bicycles" and support the two key functions of mutual recognition, collaboration and polarity identification to ensure charging safety.
