Recently, Sonic's official social media released an artistic picture, announcing that "Sonic" will launch a cross-border cooperation with "Angry Birds". This news may not be surprising considering SEGA recently spent $700 million to acquire Angry Birds developer Rovio.
Despite this, Sega has not disclosed the details of the linkage. However, players and media have speculated that this will most likely just be a crossover event within Sonic's existing mobile games, possibly in Sonic Rush or Sonic Power Wars, where we might see Angry Birds characters as a limited-time event to get them as playable characters.
If this cross-border event is larger, such as "Angry Birds" being added to subsequent Sonic games, it will still surprise analysts. Regardless, please stay tuned for further official news.
