Abstract:
According to TMZ reports, Simu Liu married his girlfriend of four years, Allison Hsu. His girlfriend Alison Xu is a music producer, and the two held a wedding in France last weekend.
Liu Simu and Allison Hsu began dating at the end of 2022, and walked together on the red carpet for the first time at a movie premiere in December of the same year
Simu Liu, known for his starring role in the Marvel movie "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," proposed to his girlfriend while on vacation in Paris in May 2025, with Taylor Swift also participating.
Simu Liu shared on the "Tonight Show": "My fiancée is in the music industry, and she has been a fan of Taylor Swift since she was a child. Taylor Swift's music played an important role in the early days of our relationship. I get to know her through her songs, and I understand why these songs mean so much to her."
"So I thought, if there's one person who could make this engagement so special... I reached out to her through Taylor's publicist and I said, 'Hey, can I talk you into doing a two-second video just to say congratulations?' And she sent it two days later and I played it for her, so Taylor Swift was the icing on the cake!"
Allison Hsu has been named one of the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Music, a list that honors breakout performers, songwriters and behind-the-scenes industry leaders who are 29 or younger.
