The company's pure electric vehicle sales reached a record high of 68,400 units in the third quarter, a year-on-year increase of 61%.

The three models have a maximum power of 1153 horsepower and use AMG’s exclusive pure electric platform
The new Mercedes-AMG GT SUV is available in three power versions, the main difference is the maximum output power:
| Vehicle type | Maximum output power |
|---|---|
| AMG GT 53 | 536 horsepower |
| AMG GT 55 | 805 horsepower |
| AMG GT 63 | 1153 horsepower |
The new car is built on AMG’s exclusive pure electric architecture AMG.EA, which is also used in the new Mercedes-AMG GT four-door coupe.
Compared with ordinary Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle products, AMG GT SUV focuses more on power output and sports driving performance. Its target customers are luxury car consumers who want to balance SUV space and high-performance driving experience.
The new car is expected to compete with high-performance pure electric SUVs from brands such as Porsche.

Mercedes-Benz’s pure electric vehicle sales increased by 61% in the third quarter, and its high-end product layout continued to expand
The release of the AMG GT SUV is Mercedes-Benz’s latest move to expand its high-end pure electric vehicle lineup.
Data previously released by Mercedes-Benz showed that sales of pure electric vehicles in the third quarter reached 68,400 units, a year-on-year increase of 61%, setting a quarterly sales record.
As high-end car manufacturers continue to launch high-performance pure electric models, competition has further extended from traditional indicators such as cruising range and charging efficiency to power performance, driving experience and brand differentiation.
For Mercedes-Benz, the AMG GT SUV will introduce pure electric drive technology into its high-performance SUV product line, further enriching the AMG brand's electrified model choices and participating in the competition in the high-end pure electric SUV market.
