Abstract:
Speedo recently released a new iQ smart module for the Vanquisher series of swimming goggles. This module adopts a detachable design and can analyze the performance of four swimming strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, providing more detailed data support for swimming training.
According to reports, Speedo iQ is equipped with sensors designed for swimming scenes, which can record the wearer's head movement, breathing timing, distance traveled with each stroke and other data in the water. After the exercise is over, the module will automatically synchronize the information to the supporting application, and the user can view the training performance and related statistical results after leaving the swimming pool.
Unlike Form and other smart swimming goggles with in-mirror displays, Speedo iQ does not have a built-in display function, but focuses on data collection and post-race analysis. Because the modules are independently replaceable, if the original Vanquisher goggles are damaged or need to be updated, users can transfer them to another pair of compatible goggles for continued use.
Speedo said that the system does not require a subscription service and complies with the usage regulations of FINA events. The Vanquisher swimming goggle set equipped with iQ module is priced at US$189 and is currently available for order, with a variety of color options available.
