Abstract:
Canonical today officially released Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, which is the first maintenance update version of the "Resolute Raccoon" long-term support version series. Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS integrates all bug fixes and security updates pushed through the stable update channel since the initial release of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS in April this year.
This first point version does not introduce a new version of the hardware support (HWE) stack equipped with updated kernel and other components; related updates are expected to be launched with Ubuntu 26.04.2 LTS after the release of Ubuntu 26.10.
The main goal of this release is to centrally package the fixes that have been incorporated into the system over the past four months to provide new users with a faster and smoother installation experience.
